Ana Mae Robinson Annual Open Tournament

The Chicago Women’s Golf Club, Inc. proudly hosted the Anna Mae Robinson Annual Open Tournament on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the beautiful Links at Carillon Golf Course in Plainfield, Illinois. This annual signature event continues to honor the enduring legacy of Anna Mae Robinson, a trailblazer in women’s golf and a foundational figure in our club’s history.

With the theme “Securing Our Legacy,” the tournament brought together members, guests, and community supporters for a full day of spirited competition, fellowship, and celebration. From the first tee shot to the final putt, participants enjoyed a memorable experience that blended golf excellence with cultural pride and community engagement.

This event not only celebrated athletic achievement but also reaffirmed our commitment to preserving and uplifting the legacy of Black women in golf. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's tournament a resounding success.

Jeannie Williams Championship Weekend

Chicago Women's Golf Club Inc celebrated our golf season with our Jeannie Williams Championship. This 2 day event started on Saturday at the Calumet Country Club and end on Sunday at River Oaks Golf Course. 30+ women hitting them long and straight (most of the time) . Our season is not over but we gathered today to celebrate our accomplishments and progress as club of Black Women Golfers. In 2 weeks, over 40 of us will travel to Canton, Ohio for 2 days of golf at the historic Clearview Golf Course. What a great time was held this weekend and we want to thank Faye and Joe’s Southern Bowl for hosting our dinner after the tournament. We laughed, had a great meal and celebrated our tournament champions. Congrats to all the winners. Wear those medals proudly cause there are a few ladies who stated that they coming for the gold next year.

New Member Assessment at The Fairways Indoor Golf Center

On March 20, 2023, the Chicago Women’s Golf Club, Inc. kicked off the season with our New Member Assessment at The Fairways Indoor Golf Center. We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated staff—Rick Edwards and Ashley Nicole Gardner—for their warm hospitality and support in hosting this important event.

A special note of appreciation goes to our longtime golf professional, Mr. Emanuel Worley of Pro Golf Academy, whose guidance and instruction continue to help our members grow and refine their game year after year.

As we look forward to an exciting golf season ahead, this indoor session offered a valuable opportunity for both current and prospective members to prepare and practice before the outdoor courses open. Until the Chicago weather warms up, The Fairways Indoor Golf Center provides the perfect environment for our community to stay engaged, sharpen skills, and build confidence on the green.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and thank everyone who contributed to making this event a success.
